looks like we will finish with an inch here in drexel hill. 2.3 on the day, not bad...wouldnt be shocked to see some 3 or so inch reports coming out of that band in jersey,

Would you settle for 1.9"? There's a boatload of Cocorahs observers around here, we'll see who wins tomorrow. I might have to borrow Mike's snow thrower.

I just looked up from playing Angry Birds and noticed that everything is white... what happened?

wow that is some intense band that set up down there. congrats for those under that band. Meanwhile after we had a nice coating of snow here from this morning, it has since melted all away. Nothing on the ground here.

and of course since my last post we now have a nice squall moving through here now and starting to dust everything again. Nothing like you guys had down in South Jersey, but I'll take it.

Yes that squall with the artic front was pretty intense for about 20 mins or so, every coated and now, finally frozen. Looks like another .2 or .3 for the day.

Looks like about 1" from round 2 here in Villanova, after 2.5" from round 1, so 3.5". And 5" for this past week, not bad for this winter. Up to 12" on the season.

Windy, blowing snow, and coldest its felt all season right now.

When you see how excited they get in the NYC forum about snow, and how calm and accepting we've been in the Philly forum, its kinda funny how Philly metro got the snow this week while NYC metro got totally ripped off.

Kinda like I think tombo said last night, yesterday was the most fun day of the winter so far...I left the floodlights on during the heaviest part last night, and that buck I took a picture of parked himself behind a tree, and was joined by two doe. They seemed to just be taking it all in as well lol...:snowwindow:

I left for work early thinking the roads were going to be horrible, but there's hardly anything up here in Woodbury, and the roads are dry. Big difference from around my house were the roads are ice.

That's how it is/was here. My ride up from Allentown was dry until I got to just south of Tamaqua. From there on north conditions rapidly changed from dry to somewhat snowy to downright treacherous in about 8 miles.

Final Storm tally for NW Chester County -Round 2 - 2.0"

Round 1 - 2.0"

0.25" on 2/10 and 1.75" on 2/11

Snow this month and week = 6.3" (normal MTD 4.6")

Seasonal Snowfall 19.2" (normal to date 19.8") 97% of normal seasonal snow (AM low this morning 13.7)

It's all about elevation this winter.....

comparing your numbers to PHL

Snow this month=1.2" (normal MTD 3.8")

Seasonal Snowfall: 4.0" (normal to date 14.0") 28% of normal seasonal snow

Yep...that 540' between him and us makes all the difference even up here. He's almost double our totals winter-to-date.

Pretty interesting(and climatologically correct).....

PHL under 50': 4"

PTW area (around 200'): near 10"

Higher elevations of Chester (around 700'): near 20"
