METAR KDCA 140152Z 32022G31KT 10SM -SN FEW047 OVC060 M04/M15 A2958 RMK AO2 PK WND 32031/0152 SNB48 SLP015 P0000 T10391150

plus the band i posted about in the snow thread which is about to expire (so i'll move here) looks to be a little more intense lately.

AND

Now

A heavier snow shower near Parkton Maryland around 9 PM this evening will move through southeastern Baltimore County over the next half hour to one hour. A brief period of snow may affect locations near Parkville...Fullerton...Rossville...Rosedale and Essex as well as the northeastern portion of Baltimore. Snowfall may coat the ground in some of these locations causing slippery spots. Elsewhere...isolated snow showers will affect north-central Maryland...eastern West Virginia...lower southern Maryland...and the Baltimore and Washington metropolitan areas this evening. Little to no snow accumulation is expected. Temperatures will fall through the 20s this evening with northwest winds around 15 to 25 mph. Wind chills will be in the single digits.

Now

A band of light to moderate snow will affect areas mainly along and just either side of the Potomac between Point of Rocks and the District of Columbia...then further southeast from Oxon Hill to the mouth of the Patuxent. A coating of snow can be expected. Brief heavier accumulation cannot be ruled out along a line from Great Falls to downtown Washington to Brandywine. Temperatures will remain in the upper teens and lower 20s...with northwest winds 15 to 25 mph. Wind chills will be in the single digits.
