I'm now at 23 minutes of snow and another band is coming through soon. DC ended up being a goo spot.
Ellinwood
Even with the longer duration my bare ground got just a dusting to quarter inch of snow... just some light snow now.
blazeKing
I have to assume EZF is getting destroyed. Yup, big rates of snow, everything covered...didn't even start out as a flurry or anything like that, just a big gust of wind and boom, heavy snow. Ian
thing up north looks like a mesolow low pulling in les more than anything. radar too short to extrapolate far but doesnt seem to be dropping as south as the hrrr showed. nam still has preiod of light snow and some enhancement over eastern areas around midnight. precip totals rather light either way. sgmva
This was what it looked like in Culpeper when the squall moved through around 1:50. I saw two cars flipped over on 29 afterwards.

Bob Chill
Yes. I'm now at 23 minutes of snow and another band is coming through soon. DC ended up being a goo spot. Yea, it's pretty cool actually. It's like a "hinge" in the line passed just south of dc and the flanks to the N & S of it stretched out a bit. Area south of stafford has gotten sizeable. Im in clarendon and got some wind and 5 minutes of snow. Your trajectory is winning.

It was a bit disappointing to see that happen as now it has kinda gotten its act back together once into MD.

Lisse
You know, I don't even care that it's still going in DC. I just had 5 minutes of the best snow since October, and for once this winter I wasn't completely left out of all the fun. Heck - we even still have a lazy flake or two coming down every minute or so. It's good stuff.
Bob Chill
Still goin here in rockville. had a little burst of really big dendrites now getting pretty light. some stickage to cars, grass, shrubs, etc. No complaints.

Last few frames of the State College radar shows the start of a drift southward. The RUC/HRRR don't even really get the precip down to south central PA until 7pm or so.
