mitchnick
with all this moisture in the atmosphere and an arctic front on the way, the decent forcing should give us some nice snow showers "of varying intensity" as Gordon Barnes used to often say radar is lighting up to the west of the big cities as this radar accurately depicts http://www.atmos.albany.edu/products/radarne/radarloop.htm
jnis
Yup, it didn't switch over to snow until 9pm. I'm at 565ft and think you are a bit higher. That was probably what did it. My house is at 780'...I was in bed around 9 so I don't know if it was sticking here by then.
Fozz
Very pretty over here too! Snow already stopped when i woke up (about 30 minutes ago). Was snowing nicely around midnight. Not sure how much I have here. Long Green on the other side of the Reservoir got 1 inch That 1" measurement was almost 6 hours ago, so I think you got a bit more Wanna sled? eurojosh
I never realized just how much it sucks living in the city until this winter. I never realized how many people on this board don't live in an urban area... In this part of Bethesda I didn't see a single flake through 0300, and nothing stuck. Now at 35.2F... Congrats to all who got measurable...

mappy
That 1" measurement was almost 6 hours ago, so I think you got a bit more Wanna sled? Its impossible to tell now that compaction/melting is taking place, but I will take your word for it! Funny you mention sledding, I was just thinking about how great it would be to get a decent snowfall so we could go sledding
