CranberryWX
Temperature has dropped into the teens already with the wind chill as low as 8 so far. The old body is not used to this. Scuddz
Its impossible to tell now that compaction/melting is taking place, but I will take your word for it! Funny you mention sledding, I was just thinking about how great it would be to get a decent snowfall so we could go sledding The only decent sledding hill around here that I know of ends in a major road, can only use it during big snowstorms when no ones driving. gymengineer
The front looks to clear the area sooner than previously modeled-- now, by 0Z, the NAM has the metro region well below freezing at the surface.

If you're in area code 21044 as in Columbia go to Longfellow Elementary. They have a huge hill to the right as you pull into the parking lot. No road at the end. BTRWx
Is this the "squall" coming thru JYO already? The front is still pretty far back and there doesn't seem to be much noticeable wind with that activity, so I would say no.
WinterWxLuvr
Temp up to 36 here. Breaks in the clouds starting to appear. Maybe that's the cold air. Doubt it, seems too early. If it doesn't get here soon, not much is going to survive.
WinterWxLuvr
Front has cleared Morgantown and Elkins. It probably will be here within a couple of hours. I have very little faith in snow after the front, but we'll see.
