249 AM EST SAT FEB 11 2012

.SYNOPSIS...

LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE NORTHEAST OFF THE CAROLINAS THROUGH

SATURDAY AS A STRONG COLD FRONT RAPIDLY APPROACH FROM THE

NORTHWEST...CROSSING THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. HIGH PRESSURE WILL

BUILD ACROSS THE MID-ATLANTIC STATES FOR EARLY NEXT WEEK.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TODAY/...

ISSUED AN SPS ONE TIER OF COUNTIES SOUTH OF THE WINTER WX ADZY

/AND DOWN THE EAST SIDE OF THE BLUE RIDGE TO GREENE COUNTY/ FOR A

HALF TO AROUND AN INCH OF SNOW LATE TONIGHT UNDER THIS BAND OF

PRECIP ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEVELOPING LOW NEAR CAPE HATTERAS.

DID A QUICK UPDATE OF THE GRIDS THROUGH SATURDAY...TO UPDATE FOR

THE EASTWARD EXPANSION OF THE RAIN/SNOW LINE THROUGH

SUNRISE FOR THE FIRST ROUND...THEN FOR ALL SNOW SHOWERS INSTEAD OF A

WIDE AREA OF RAIN/SNOW SHOWERS FOR THE SECOND ROUND WITH THE COLD FRONT.

THE BANDS/SQUALLS OF SNOW WILL BE PARTICULARLY STRONG RIGHT ALONG

THE COLD FRONT...EXPECT A VERY GUSTY SNOW SQUALL TO MOVE THROUGH

THE CWA LATE THIS AFTERNOON. THE SNOW MAY BE HEAVY ENOUGH TO

EXPAND THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY TO ACROSS THE BALT-WASH METRO.

Could you run by me a brief synopsis?

no..just wake up tomorrow and see what happens like the rest of us...success will be in the execution....3/8/05 was a storm system associated with a cold front that was rain to rapidly dropping temps and then snow...this scenario is a lot different so not sure why I brought it up...tomorrow will be pure squall...

I'm still getting decent flake size and a steady rate. But just a cartop coating and a little on decks. . Not accumulating elsewhere. Not enough to call it measurable unless I did .1" increments and then I'd call it a 0.1".

I think I've seen enough. Nice to see snow fall for a couple hours. Hope we see some tomorrow. Maybe it will -sn off and on all night and day tomorrow?
