usedtobe
it's 43 at 10 and this storm blows, wt flippity f It was supposed to blow. Even tomorrow's flurries/showers have alwasy been an uphill battle. strong cold advection with a vort coming by really is a hard way to get much in the way of accumulations as the vorticity advection lifting is battling the cold advection subsidence and drying. WinterWxLuvr
Still snowing lightly here. The Dacula radar does a good job of indicating when the snow is going to get heavier. Had about a 15 minute period of moderate snow about an hour ago. The same radar suggests that this area is starting to fill in. If it does, the RUC from the past few runs will have done a good job of forecasting it. I feel bad for you guys near the cities. I guess elevation is huge again. It'll probably even out. You guys will get a coastal that leaves this area high and dry.
winterymix
Over-performing here in Reisterstown. 2 meter temperatures truly at or below 32 degrees with light to moderate steady snow. WVclimo
Mitchnick's favorite weenie radar is actually not bad to use for a light event like this one. A composite mosaic can show precip trends pretty well. Nice to see the echoes hopping the high mountains to the west and filling in. http://beta.intellicast.com/National/Radar/Current.aspx?location=USVA0659&animate=true
