We had about an hour of very light snow, once again not a single flake accumulated. Now, just some light drizzle. It's hard to believe we live in the same county.

having lived around here since 1972 I can say as a fact frederick county is big enough to have many different weather events. There have been countless winter events where I-81 was the divide line between snow and little or no snow. And of course you know about the summer storms.

Hasn't stopped here either the past two hours. But its been very light snow most of the past hour. Probably have half of what WinterWxLuvr has, maybe a 0.1" on the board

Models had this getting going around 10-11 tonight. 32 degrees here so no temp issues if we get the moisture.

That seems to be the key more times than not.

it's 43 at 10 and this storm blows, wt flippity f

It was supposed to blow. Even tomorrow's flurries/showers have alwasy been an uphill battle. strong cold advection with a vort coming by really is a hard way to get much in the way of accumulations as the vorticity advection lifting is battling the cold advection subsidence and drying.

Still snowing lightly here. The Dacula radar does a good job of indicating when the snow is going to get heavier. Had about a 15 minute period of moderate snow about an hour ago. The same radar suggests that this area is starting to fill in. If it does, the RUC from the past few runs will have done a good job of forecasting it.

I feel bad for you guys near the cities. I guess elevation is huge again. It'll probably even out. You guys will get a coastal that leaves this area high and dry.
