moneypitmike
Interesting dewpoint swings along the coast. At first I thought it was just me but I noticed the coastal airport reports - especially east of New Have were also showing some big hourly swings. Until the last few hours anyway... since then the dewpoints have been steadily climbing along with the temp. I am currently sitting at 44.1 with a dewpoint of 38 and a brisk SSW wind. Time to start re-considering those predicted snowfall amounts down this way...??? That can't bode well.

RIcoastalWX
That can't bode well. Well... not that anyone will understand this... but I am not a winter lover or a snow lover - at all. I live for May through September... So this trend... is the right trend... for me anyway... 44.2/39 - winds veering more to the S and SSE now. Sn0waddict
Ever consider moving to Fairfield, CT? The weather in the summer is just as boring as it is in the winter. All severe storms dissipate and you never seen any record heat due to the breeze of LI.

ORH_wxman
On my phone...but looked like sref mean bumped up some? Yeah it did...def brought the 0.25 and 0.50 lines west. Even 1 inch near the elbow of the Cape. Unfortunately the 00z NAM is coming in kind of ugly I think through 12 hours.

All severe storms dissipate and you never seen any record heat due to the breeze of LI. I've lived inland... i've lived through 'severe storms' that did not dissipate... For me, I'll take one of our summer night coastal thunder events that can last for hours any day...
moneypitmike
What a laugh-riot the NAM is. I think the flurries in GC outperform the dry air in CT. What a hoot of a run--in a darkly humorous way.
mahk_webstah
srefs get better and nam gets worse this close to an event?
leesun
On setups like this, the NAM is not the model to follow. Remember the joke that if a seal farts in antartica, the Nam views that as convection.
