I'm free from outrage, or rage of any kind.

It's simply an illogical decision, with no application of common sense. It's also very weak and sends the wrong message.

It's not much of a hardship to commute through light sprinkles or snow that doesn't stick.

If it makes my commute easier then I'm all for it.

On topic, I think radar will fill in nicely in a few hours and for a few hours.

Radar bark is worse than bite unless you are elevated. I've been under 30 dBZ in Frederick County and very light flurries (just recently became light snow). I can't see the Catoctins from my front porch which usually means they're getting nice snow showers up there.
