I am coming, especially since I was the one who paid for my registration fees and forky's, yet my name isn't on the list (and neither do I care, but I am coming)

booking our hotel room now

My comments are not endorsed by the staff of Americanwx.com but,

What can we do to make your visit more fantastic?

srain and i will be at mcdonalds wednesday night for anyone who gets in that early.

actually, i am thinking of two local places (near my house) that have great food but the section of town is sorta divey. not where tourists go.

- squires. specialty is eye talian food. http://squirescafe.com.

- riverwatch. crab and beef. in a residential hood. inside and outside seating. waterside location with a marina. http://riverwatchrestaurant.com.

your choice steve.

Hmmm....both great choices, but River Watch seems to catch my eye and 'flavor' of local Baltimore flare, in my mind. Sorta divey, not where tourist go was my main theme when entertaining guests when we lived in the Lower Keys back in the day. Great choices, Rich!

Randy...just an FYI that yes, I'm still coming. I pulled a ton of cash outta the bank (and keep forgetting to put it all back) so didn't have a way to pay via PP.

I will not be doing the lightning round presentation as hoped. New vehicle acquistion (1963 Triumph Spitfire) knocked out the time needed to prep for that. I probably will not be very social after hours as I may need to stay in the hotel room to do work.

This afternoon, my boss went to his doctor because of pain in his abdomen. A little while later, he was admitted into a hospital for acute diverticulitis. He'll be in for at least 2-3 days on IV antibiotics, and hopefully he doesn't have a perforation which would require immediate surgery.

This means my vacation is cancelled, and I have to cover for him this weekend.

I'm sorry we can't make it, but in circumstances like this, I can't be upset about it. I'm more concerned that he makes a speedy recovery.

I'll see some of you in Berkeley Springs in September.
