Isotherm
You guys cashed in time after time last winter while we got squat except our one big 14" storm. We may get 1-3" on Wed but as a snow lover i would much rather live in your area. Agreed, I would much rather live in my area too.

NYCSuburbs
Eureka! RGEM I guess? Also as nice as it looks, it's not a guarantee as we don't know yet exactly how much QPF is associated with it, perhaps it could be 0.1" or 0.02" QPF of light snow. NEG NAO
this is something to watch for tomorrow - looking a little bit impressive http://www.ssd.noaa....s/flash-wv.html FWIW - Alan Kasper is thinking chance of light snow tomorrow with some places getting light rain also - chance of a coating mainly north and west in NJ.. He is usually on the conservative side.

MJO812
The 6z models had the low closer to the coast. The 12z Nam was also close to the coast. It was still a miss south for the NYC area but we have to see if this is a trend.
NEG NAO
http://raleighwx.ame...bTSLPp06036.gif mainly liquid in the heavier precip closer to the coast - more frozen further west
PB GFI
Wed nights event was always progged to be a light one . And where precip falls it will be Snow . The 0 line at 850 are down to the mason dixon line and with no wind , you will cool the column . Its not gona rain near the coast , I dont think anyone sees more than an inch of Snow ( NYC south , especially if it falls at nite ) ,No one was predicting a lot of snow .. Weekend system , different story .
MJO812
12z RGEM shows the low a little more closer to the coast than the previous run
Stormlover74
If the snow does not stick, then it really shouldn't qualify as an 'event'. The title of the thread should be 'potential snowflakes in the air on the 8th'...

Snow_Miser
The 12z ECMWF was the best it has looked so far for my area in C NJ for this storm. Assuming it sticks, it looks like a inch or two.
Snow_Miser
<p> Hate posting this, but here are the 12Z RGEM snow totals. FWIW, this is the most robust I've seen the RGEM with the precipitation with a small blob of 5 mm right near my area in C NJ.
MJO812
18z Nam has the precip staying just below NYC. Looks like a moderate batch of precip gets into central and southern Jersey.
