Damage In Tolland
In case anyone is wondering..South of the MA/NH border this winter..this winter has averaged out to be normal for Charlotte, NC temp and snow wise. Not in Mrgland or the Berks..and not ORH in terms of snowfall.but overall we have experienced a typical North Carolina winter I don't even know how to digest that

wxmanmitch
Minus the 10/29 event, it seems like much of the CP in SNE has been on par with about RIC or ORF this winter. I don't have the numbers, so I'm guessing a bit. Here in the Berks, I'd say PSF has been on par with about HPN or BDR temp and snowfall wise. 40/70 Benchmark
I'm so fuc*ing sick of hearing about the Oct event as a response every time someone mentions how much this year has blown......it was a horrific omen. Not to mention that it sucked azz here.....but I'm glad I sacraficed a winter so that Ski Mrg's volvo could get buried.
40/70 Benchmark
At least we get to see powderfreak's daily photos of the Iceland snow stake.
powderfreak
At least we get to see powderfreak's daily photos of the Iceland snow stake. LOL glad you enjoy them If SNE has been on par with a Charlotte winter, then the Sierras around Lake Tahoe (average of 450-500") have been on par with a Southern New England winter. I'm pretty sure Pete on the East Slope has seen more snow than over 6,000ft in the Sierras, lol. Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows only got 1-2" in all of December... and you guys in SNE think you had a bad month relative to average. They had only a trace to 2" from the two month period of November 20 to January 20.
OSUmetstud
This thread is an exaggeration..it has not been as warm as charlotte normally experiences in their winter. I'm surprised no has figured that out, yet.

Jebman
I feel for you guys. I mean - You are supposed to have deep snow DCA is supposed to have gray winters with stratiform rain - But it is BAD when the NE reports a North Carolina styled winter I hope you guys get recompensed with a rare 15 foot blizzard that goes stationary for two weeks. :snowing: :snowing:
