The only mention of accumulation was for light accum on grassy surfaces above 1500' Even the Special Weather Statement they issued just before 3 talks mainly about 1000'. I'm at 525' and only about 15 miles inland and I got a good 3/4" to 1" in that heavy band that came through including the street. Still coming down at a decent clip. SnoSki14
Big time fail. almost 3 inches here. I guess it pays to b*tch and moan every day for the past 2 and half months. Take that optimistic snow weenies.

Once I gave up in Mid Feb, I stopped moaning. As soon as I starting rooting on the warmth, we get a nice little plowable event--go figure.

SnoSki14
Euro weeklies are terrible . I changed my signature and avatar. Bring on severe weather . This is nothing new. Winter is done but the warmth continues. I definitely betting on hitting 80 at least once in March, and severe weather doesn't happen around here until the summer due to the cold water temperatures although I'm curious to see how they water temps fair now. Someone previously mentioned a couple weeks ago how above normal they were, which could make the severe weather and tropical season more interesting. If this spring is like 2009, forget about the severe weather. That spring was cool and wet.
SnoSki14
I know a positive NAO/AO in the winter months produces warm weather around here, but if a positive NAO/AO maintains into the spring, which right now it will, does it still indicate more warmth or does it not matter. Watch the NAO and AO go negative by spring.

SnoSki14
usually would mean a continuation of the warmth... I'm not so sure about that, those factors are not as strong as we enter the warm season. We had a negative NAO and we saw a record breaking warm summer. SnoSki14
All the models have a big time ridge in the east. If that verifies, I wouldn't be shocked to see 70's in the area. What time frame?
