My name isnt NYCSnow...and part of the reason i switched tours is because if we get snow sunday night, babysitting is an issue for monday morning. I made no claims about being excited for a KU storm. I know its the banter thread, but cmon bro.

Oh true. My bad...made it sound like you got off to watch the storm haha

This has not felt like winter at all to be honest. I dont mean to beat the dead horse but it has been a long fall. We went from 13 months of the most exciting weather to...5 months of the most boring weather. Not really any good winds to speak of either.

Lets hope for a decent thunderstorm season.

this month so far the NYC average temp is 39.5 - 4th on the warmest February list - good chance we will take a run at # 1 after next weeks 40's and 50's. Also will end up being a top 10 least snowiest and possibly one of the driest...

I have given up on saturday and the rest of this month - going for combined warmth lack of snow and lack of precip record - still have to research and identify the other years for the combined record...

So that is it folks.... Unless there is a miracle - this storm is going to get booted east and south of our region..

Let the Winter of 11/12 rest in peace.. It won't be missed..

This has been the most pathetic winter I've ever experienced. And I lived in Charlotte for a few years (88-91, 2007-08).

it's definitely giving 01-02 a run for the money--central park (almost) shutout still strong 16 days into the month

Yea, I was in VA (Shenandoah Valley) that winter. We still got snow (to be fair we average more than the park) but it wasn't that cold. I believe that was the year we got into the low 80s in January. Now THAT was insane.
