Central Park recorded 0.2 inches of snow yesterday by the way.

There was a nice dusting in the park last night that wasn't evident at all until you actually got to the park (surrounding midtown the ground was just wet). It was nice to see the park covered in white again, even though it was barely anything. Central Park in the snow is awesome.

Bring on spring enough of this

Quite frankly, I'm tired of reading this talk on the forums. True winter fans will hold on through March, and that's what I'm doing. We've got nothing better to look forward to - spring weather sucks around here until mid April at the earliest, sometimes May, or June...

I love winter to just hate this year, hoping march will give us some big storms like a march 13 2010 sort of

But what if not everyone is a winter fan to begin with? I love following the weather but personally winter is my least favorite season.

Yes, soundings are nice. Temps start out in the upper 30's to around 40 in the city itself, with mid-30's just NW and and drop about 5 degrees from there when the precip starts. NYC has .09 precip with +1.9 as the precip is falling.

Caldwell, NJ is .07 precip with a surface temp at .8 to give you an idea.

any cold air? a storm taking the right track with this airmass ain't going to do anything
