well done my man

Its not your fault though, when people already see an observation thread posted, we don't need 3 more lol

It's frustrating sometimes. I'm doing what I can here, but when I'm working, I can get pulled away on a moment's notice, so I obviously can't read every single post in every thread. I'll delete a bunch of posts, but then it almost seems like I'm holding back the tide with a broom.

I've actually thought our forum has been running relatively smoothly, until the past few days. That's when I started noticing a big uptick on unnecessary threads, banter posts in non-banter threads, etc. I think everyone here needs to think a little more before hitting the "add reply" button.

Granted, this winter has sucked big-time, so maybe that's where some of the lax attitude has arisen from. But, geez... all this crap from an "event" that will struggle to even meet WWA criteria? I don't know, man...

I don't want to start acting like other boards do, that crack down on anything even remotely not on topic. I think that's part of the appeal of this board, in a way... to not stifle enthusiasm. But, if it's going to cost us quality posters/pro mets, I'll gladly start heading in that direction.

It's up to you guys.

This.

We both are trying to help you guys out and keep the discussion light and allow for some on-topic banter/etc. But there are a select few in here that seem to always want to push it to the point where we have to start deleting posts.

It gets pretty frustrating, but we have to try and continue walking the fine line between a bar chat and a serious discussion-only forum.

This storm reeks of bust.

The radar looks like total crud.

What do you mean bust?

No one thinks this is going to be a "storm" anymore, at least at our longitude. It's still 43 degrees outside, coming off a sunny day that warmed the ground. The snow looks like it will be light-moderate at best and very briefly, at least near the city before it shuts off for the developing out to sea storm. Wouldn't even surprise me if there's no accumulation on any pavement with that. Could just be on cars, grass, and roofs. North of town a ways could just see very light snow that accumulates a dusting at best.

no matter what happens with this storm we gotta admit we got two legit threats next week. the middle week storm and the possible "BIG" storm presidents day weekend are gonna grab our attention after this disturbance passes us tommorow. we dont need to get all bitter and rant. lets just relax enjoy what snow we do get and lets start looking at the new threats.
