Mod Nina regimes with +NAO and AO generally yield an ugly picture. The MJO is the really the main factor making this storm a possibility for mid atlantic folks. Accuweather revised their initial winter outlook for the northeast / NYC area from their intial cold and snowy to seasonal temps and active.
