dryslot
Yeah the codeine based pk's leave me headachey and nauseous. If you have a real pain situation tell your doc you want tramadol for the pain - less side effects and potent. I got an arm full for kidney stones a few years ago and I went from writhing on the ER floor to happy face patient. Personally I shy away from most non-natural medicinal agents. I do find Ibuprofen and a glass of high end bourbon to be just as effective as most pk's. I had some 7.5 Vikes with oxy that did that to me for my back issues, Now i got script Ibu 800ml and thats all i take

Never heard of hydrocodone with oxycodone in it. They must do thing's different up in Maine.

(Only differences between me and Peyton M. are 30 yr and about $40 million.) Pain wasn't too bad my 1st night home (2nd night after the op) and I took them exactly once. Woke up an hour later having to swallow about 10X per minute, each swallow scraping the 36-hr-old incision across the (mandatory 24/7) cervical collar. Would've been better beating myself over the head with a shovel, because it would feel so good when I stopped.

NJwinter23
Looks like at least the Litchfield County areas are gonna see wet snow out of these little batches of precip tonight. Would appreciate any rain/snow reports thru the evening.
HIPPYVALLEY
ya i think the worst is over right now....i'm glad i was able to keep my big breakfast and lunch down and i'm hopefuly the effects are completely gone by like 8pm so i can workout. anyway i'm hoping i can get up to stowe and use my 2 nite stay package/gift but with the euro being the outlier model still lookin like rain then If it's valid thru end of season then play the wait and see game for a bit. a beautiful spring w/e will blow away rain on ice even if there are only half as many trails. Ginx snewx
Indeed. Instead of plowing, shoveling and skiing almost every day like I normally do, this winter we/I actually had the time to put a second bathroom in at our house and I have almost three cords of wood left to date. Now, if we can get through mud season relatively unscathed, maybe this winter won't have been such a bad thing. It will snow a lot again, of this I am sure. That's one thing I have noticed, lots of woodsheds still loaded with wood.
Ginx snewx
Am I among the few that finds wx boredom just fine? I mean life is so full without the wx it enables me to focus better on those areas, plan day and overnight trips without fear of missing something, and in generally being a better rounded person when when I'm obsessing and losing sleep. Life is good, snow or no snow. Oh just awesome Jerry just fantastic, beautiful. You belong in San Diego, you will find extreme wxboredom. Life is good, snow or no snow but much much better with. Sorry bro, but I can be well rounded the other 8 months of the year.

Not a huge fan of opiates, seen alot of friends go down the wrong path with oxycontin so I made sure to take as prescribed. At any rate I would imagine your shoveling days are over after that kind ofof surfery and have taken up plowing.

One of the guys on my crew took a nice salmon yesterday late afternoon. Yep, winter fun for those that get out after it. Late afternoon today on Lake Ashmere. Just outside to grab some wood, such a weird musty smell, can def smell the salt water marsh tonight but also some earthy stuff too. Sunny mid to upper 50s for us tomorrow, should feel awesome out! ski MRG
Pete we all BS in these threads...a good and healthy back and forth. But like Brian said...as much as you say you're joking...it probably doesn't come off that way when you talk about how there snow will vaporize in a day or the fact that the storm will come north and screw them like it always does. Even when you joke about the brown ground and us "easterners," sometimes it's like enough already..we get it. I know you are joking, but some can take it the wrong way. Well, I didn't go into their forum and tell them they were screwed. I wished them good luck. As for the joking here in our sub-forum, if I played by their rules I would have reported you and Blizz for threatening and hurtful posts yesterday saying that high winds were going to "scalp" me. Fortunately, I have a sense of humor and thought the whole exchange was funny as I find all the "long hair" jokes. I know you guys are just kidding around much the same way I hope you know I am kidding when I taunt you about being snowfall challenged. No, it's a case of board politics and tactical assassinations. I think I've told you a few times, told might be too strong, advised, don't bother. You can't win, just let it go. This is a mid atlantic clique board through and through, hell they have another board dedicated to talking about this one. I'm sure DBM was ablaze all about your banning. Trust me, we know how this ends and like you, I also don't like to take it, but like you I am also banned from OT. Being right doesn't matter, doing nothing worse doesn't matter. What matters is part of this place is a strange and odd place where logic takes a back seat and sticking up for oneself is met with the hammer. Just let it go, enjoy what you truly enjoy and let them do their thing that they are going to do regardless. You win anyway Pete, because you actually do something that you love and truly love what you talk about. From what I see, that isn't always the case. sorry mods, my last word on the matter. Let's firm up Monday if still happening. I can only go to the Beast until about 1 or so, my wife has a docs appt. I wouldn't be against pushing it off 2 weeks until we get a good snowfall, lol. Yeah, I'm not the type to go quietly into the that good night. I'm just shocked how people never learn from history and by the willingness to silence voices that you disagree with. I would have thought by now most people with half a wit would recognize oppression is a recipe for catastrophic failure. The ease with which some of these people seek to stifle the voices of others is truly repugnant. Monday still looks good for me. Hoping we get into some snow one way or another before then. LOL. Kind of astounding isn't it? Those posts are bad, pseudo threats of physical violence is fine long as it's against new englanders. I fight with Pete more than anyone but it's pretty clear the MA has their own set of rules and our guys don't have the power to complain. The difference is Scott we can fight but we don't run to the nearest mod to tattle tale. We're adults, we can differ with our opinions but yet tolerate the others right to voice their thoughts regardless of how completely wrong you almost always are. I agree with you here. From what i read, it seemed like it was blown wayyyyyyyyyyyy out of proportion. It would be nice to have one forum if you ask me instead of the regional ones. Nice to interact with others with a different point of view sometimes. The mid-atlantic can be a good place to live if you like snow and cold if you pick the right spots. Parts of SW Virginia actually average more snow per year than BOS or BDL and other sites. Well thanks, just further validation of my claims that I was wronged by an over zealous mod and this was a targeted strike. I'll let that person speak for themselves. They won't. Silent death squad members are usually.....silent. Nice Pete, it certainly will snow a lot again and I'll be there to dive in. Brian I apologize for continuing this but I did want to respond to some of today's posts here in the banter thread. I don't really have anymore to say on the topic other than I am seriously considering starting my own vanity forum that will put members through a vigorous vetting process. lol
