phlwx
figure since there's a potential for a record high or two today a thread is warranted just for torch purposes. Records today/tomorrow Allentown -- 60/65 Philly -- 65/70 AC -- 63/71 Reading -- 67/67 Wilmington -- 66/71 AC's record has the best shot of getting zapped today considering they're at 45 as of 6 AM today...tomorrow is quite tough (those 70+ records are from the super torch of '02) but it very well should be warmest day of the two. JTA66
I think Allentown has the best shot today (maybe tie the record?), but that's about it. And once again, we're torching, but I still have to scrape my car's windows this morning!

phlwx
ABE will come close but they tend not to torch as well as ACY on days like today...wouldn't surprise me to see ACY approach 65 if they can get the right wind trajectory all day. Ralph Wiggum
If it breaks 65F tomorrow in PHL, you can bet the storm at 5 days is going to be snow. Never fails in January/very early Feb regarding temps of 65 and up then snow 5-7 days later.

Never fails in January/very early Feb regarding temps of 65 and up then snow 5-7 days later. January 7th, 2007 fails this theory. dropped to 37 on the 11th, back up to the 60's by the 13th. No snow. It also hit 70 on 2/1/02. 36 5 days later but no snow in the 5-7 day stretch. 1/23/99 almost hit 70 and a week later it was in the low/mid 40's. It does happen but "never fails" is pretty wrong. iceman56
57.9 here in the 'chilly' valley in NW Chesco today. Expect to do better tomorrow as air mixes better with some wind. BTW, got some dry ice with a food order today and put my thermo probe on it looking for some winter. Tempurature has been running a comfy -38 to -41 all evening.
