I will say this about WidreMann it’s not really about the post he just posted, but everything in general. I saw this during the past hurricane season and last winter he is nothing but a troll. There are thousands like him all around the world infecting social network sites. It is so easy to speak garbage and negativity when you are behind a computer screen.

It was a pretty tame comment. There's a whole "where's your God now" meme: http://knowyourmeme....is-your-god-now. Well known, been around for a while, mostly for the lulz. You have a pretty tight censor if that didn't get past it.

This is my last post on this. Since I do often post what I think are humorous comments I have been in the position you are in now several times. All you need to do is make a short post saying your comment was just meant to be funny, not meant to offend anyone and if you did you're sorry. If you find you can not make that post then you need to examine your motives.

That 18z NAM snowfall map really makes CLT bend over with no lube.

Of course, literally every snowstorm has underperformed in Charlotte for almost a decade now.

Yea the 18z NAM was a buzz kill but you would think at some point Charlotte would have to overperform on a storm. These last two winters have made you want to melt down as in almost every direction someone cashed in while Charlotte was just what was called for or slightly below what was called for.

That's probably a better feeling than it showing 6-7 inches in your area and then having your local weather service office say the NAM doesn't show any snow b/c of a warm nose at 800. :axe: At least you didn't run up and try and kick the football and have Lucy pull it out from under you. haha

It's hard for me to see bitching and complaining from other areas in the state because the storms always perform or over perform seemingly everywhere else. I mean, I don't think CLT has had a storm do what it was predicted to do in forever. Look at both events last year...they both were underwhelming comPared to fxcasts.

Yea 2010 was just tragic...it's hard to complain because we saw something but 2010 there were two snowfalls where we were underperfomed like crazy (one was the thundersleet). Heck the 2009 ULL even dodged us for a big one...but we had 6 inches so I can't complain.

Good point. The last 2 years have been money here. So, any complaining I make is not to wish it away from anyone else.

... and, are you back in Charlotte?

No, i'm in Columbia still but I am pulling for those guys though(plus, i can always go home for an event).

On another note, my girlfriend noted that Greenville seemed like a really nice city when she was there yesterday. Columbia is a cool place to live but I'd move Upstate in a second if we both had jobs.

I don't get the forecasts for a dusting to an inch for RDU if the trend continues for the storm to be slower and further south. The models have been showing more than that the past two days, and the trend keeps continuing today.

We'll see.

But I urge you to look at the 18z NAM for some new found-joy. It's some good snow-porn!

Jason, What do you think of GSP giving us the snow shaft?

Well, they are right more than they are wrong, so....

... and I have seen several instances of 3500 and above snow(especially lately).

But, it sure seems as there is an opportunity to do better than nothing. DT has Bucombe in the 2-4/1-2 zone. Robert appears to show more for us, but his map isn't very well defined. ... and last night Phil was pretty pumped at our chances down here. (but I haven't seen him post today)

I guess we'll find out tomorrow. I would take a couple inches of snow and be happy.

Yes, that's exactly what I am talking about. Every model has trended for more snow here as the day has gone along, but people are still saying only an inch for Wake and Durham counties. I don't see how it could be that little with the model trends today.

Figured they would have north of Asheville for at least an inch. You are right though they are spot on most of the time. As you said after the last 2 years we don't have to much room to complain.

Because I decided your snow total last night. Remember?

NO SNOW FOR YOU!
