Cold Rain
I'm going to go ahead and save everyone the trouble of having to wait for the PBP for the 12Z GFS: Our SW looks stronger at 12. Stronger and farther SW at 18. Slower and more separation at 30. Interesting. High is slightly stronger and building in more at 36. Storm still hasn't phased. Looking better. Let's see where this goes.... Interesting run coming up. Still slower at 42. More north at 42. Congrats WV. No it's not. Clear your cache man. Oh yeah. Slight phasing at 48. Looks slightly colder. Good run coming up. Wait, slightly colder than the NAM? No slightly colder than 0Z. Warmer than the NAM. The NAM at 6Z or OZ? 0Z. Canadian was more south at 48. South of the 6z or the 0Z? No! The 12Z GFS. Good run coming up, folks! Still separation at 48..... Well, at 54, low cuts through north GA into NC. Mid Atlantic folks will love this one. Brick Tamland
The mood swings on the storm thread are something else. Trend looks better for snow, but still sems to be a lot of folks saying it won't do much of anything.

WeatherNC
mmmm. wish we had something out here near Caldwell... Good things come to those who wait, with that being said, I am waiting, line is out the door. We have 3 joints within about 15 miles that are famous, as seen on food network type of crap. I prefer b's, maybe the sauce, maybe the hole in the wall, who knows. What a dive though, no phone, cash only, and a structure that does not look structurally sound. Grabbing and go, hopefully I get home in time to feast while watching the canadian and ukmet role in, should be fat and happy for the euro. Decent is very subjective so take that with a grain of salt but there won't be many if any posters in our forum that pickup enough for it to be a big storm. But my daily mantra is "a pessimist is never disappointed." If I see snow, great. If not, no surprise.
Cold Rain
You forgot one thing: "what will that energy diving into the plains do?" Haha! Yeah, my bad. I missed that one. I also left out, the favorites, "It doesn't look like it's handling that energy right." And "On to the Canadian." For the record, I appreciate you taking the time during the winter to lead the PBP. I think it's funny when several people try to do it at the same time and everybody gets confused.

I enjoy it when two different posters say "looks like it's trending a little to the north" and "looks like it's trending a little to the south" in consecutive posts. Very helpful. It's what this winter has done to everybody. Fighting with their last breath to squeeze a snowflake out of a model run. Snow is the new crack this winter, everybody in the storm thread is desperately trying to get a hit.

griteater
Got a chuckle out of this.... funny how nobody trusts the NAM 48 hours and its a short range model. When do you trust it...3 minutes before the first flake? it's usually pretty good about 6 hours after the fact. seriously.. it's a travesty of a model in most instances. it has its strengths tho.. like keeping people occurpied until the gfs. B's is good but a little far for me to go wait in line hoping I get mine before they run out. Parkers is closer and when I feel like really going for the good stuff its off to pete jones down in Ayden!
SnowNiner
It's like the EURO is a drug dealer giving just enough crack to keep everyone addicted....but not enough to do anything else.

Brick Tamland
So, RaleighWx said the Euro showed most of the northern half of NC is in the 4-8 inches. From HKY to GSO to RDU to RWI, 2-4 is south of that southern foothills to near CLT to Southern Pines to Greenville. Then some other guys said based on the Euro alone, most outside the mountains would not see much,

Snow Queen
I am loving how things seem to actually look more favorable as we close in to an event, however I am worried models will start going back to all rain. I don't really care if it accumulates on roads or grass, I would be just excited to see it fall from the sky!
