michsnowfreak
Snowfall today of 1.7" which came in two heavy bursts. Its not as nice as last weekend when we had a solid 3" snowcover, but its still a winter wonderland, and its nice to FINALLY see some heavy snow falling this winter! Its amazing to think I have chalked up 10.9" of snow in January, 16.3" on the season, and 17 days with measurable snowfall because it CERTAINLY doesnt feel like it. But after being buried in recent winters and seeing ma natures snowstorm-less wrath shes giving most of us this year, Ill take whatever I can get! hm8
Easily the heaviest snow of the season thus far. I didn't venture outside to take pictures, but here's what I got from out my window. Could barely see the tops of the buildings near me.
michsnowfreak
Very nice pictures hm8! It seems like such a disappointing winter, but snow has certainly been no stranger to SE MI this winter, DTW has had 31 days with snowfall reported since November, 18 days of which have been measurable. Its just the staying power has not been there (just 13 days with 1"+ snow on the ground, but an additional 20 days with a T on the ground), and only a few days have featured that "Courier & Ives" look.
