Guest Pamela
Unfortunately ends the outside chance to see if Central Park could continue its streak of top ten warmest months. There are never any gaps in the Central Park climate record...when this sort of thing happens...all they do is substitute LGA data to bridge the gap. I can't imagine that there isn't some kind of battery back-up system, not for transmission, but at least for data recovery at some point later. There is, but I think it only lasts 3 hours or so. Don't quote me on that though. Lasers, xenon flash lamps and infrared beams require lots of juice. tmagan
I have noticed in the Preliminary Local Climatology Data for Central Park, the last three days have a 'M' for missing. Is it certain that KLGA is substituted in KNYC's absence?

NorthShoreWx
The Central Park ASOS is clearly still broken. Its 8PM on Janaury 31 and you expect me to believe that it is 56 degrees? Pish posh.
Scotty Lightning
REMARKS...DATA MISSING DUE TO ASOS BEING DOWN AT CENTRAL PARK. MONTH TO DATA...TOTALS SINCE OCT 1...DEC 1...AND JAN 1 ARE CALCULATED USING DATA THROUGH JANUARY 27TH.
