LocoAko
So these definitely aren't the best photos I've ever taken but I just thought I'd share a few from my trip. What an amazing city. Canal Street: French Quarter: Downtown New Orleans (too bad it wasn't sunny): Cell phone shot from my hotel room: The now infamous Superdome:

LocoAko
did yall do a katrina tour? Nope. Didn't have time... although I was curious to see the damage (even if I'd feel a little bit guilty doing a "tour" of it). However, my airplane came in north from Lake Pontchartrain and I could see lots of empty lots along the south shore of the lake. Most houses were rebuilt in the neighborhoods I could see but every 4th or 5th lot was empty.

LocoAko
Nice photos. i am looking forward to my first trip to Nola in a few weeks. Did you get to sample any of the local food? Any places you suggest checking out? I got to have lots of the local stuff - all so delicious! I was relegated to mostly downtown, but I recommend Mother's (http://www.mothersrestaurant.net/ - all sorts of Cajun food) and pretty cheap. Just a hole in the wall. I also liked http://www.mulates.com/ but less so... a bit more pricey and honestly I liked the food a bit less.
