canderson
Almost had to pull over on Cameron Street cause you hardly could see the road, but it let up and now is back to light snow.

Blizzard92
How can they measure? It's all wind-whipped. LOL I was sent a picture too and it wasn't wind-whipped at all. It is a very sheltered location fortunately.
canderson
Ah, nice. Here by the river, there's no such place as shelter from the wind. It sucks ...
NeffsvilleWx
Wind is kicking here. Unfortunately, anemometer froze almost immediately after the 1700 squall hit, so I haven't had wind data since then. Anemometer heater is now on my list of modifications to make to my PWS, along with a rain bucket heater.
hckyplayer8
Down to 20F. Latest gust from the local PWS is 36MPH.
Blizzard92
Looks like ~2.0in is the total for Linglestown give or take a few tenths given the wind; makes for 3.0in in the last 24 hours.
pawatch
Ah, nice. Here by the river, there's no such place as shelter from the wind. It sucks ... Take a boss soda bottle and cut the top off. Just figure out how to attach it so it doesn't get blowed away or knocked over. Was just wondering what does other people use besides snow boards? For measuring snow? MAG5035
I think the total for this overall event has been roughly about 1.5 maybe 2 inches...wind makes it hard with this really light snow. Just enough to cover up the holes in the yard. Still looks like a potential light snowfall Tue night/Wed followed by a potentially stronger system later Thur into Friday. 0z GFS moves the late week low over Erie thus introducing p-type issues (mainly rain for most) with a changover to snow late in the storm. Euro has been similar in this evolution but the 12z run today popped a secondary off the Delmarva keeping more of the system snowy..although the southeast might still have issues. I do recall Euro had been advertising this system as more of a miller B type system a few days ago so we shall see how it works out as the week wears on. whiteout
Just returned home from Hollywood Casino in Grantville and boy what a difference a few miles made tonight! Down toward Hershey it was wind driven heavy snow for much of the evening and when we left around 10pm to head back 81 was very nasty with blowing heavy snow and icy roadways with travel moving about 40 mph. Once we went down 81s and got to about Mechanicsburg and points south/west the roads were nearly dry and very little snow was on the ground. PottercountyWXobserver
2.4" for the 24hr total. Still snowing somewhat from the LE, so hopefully I can pick up a little more today. This week looks interesting.

JamieOber
A few lake effect flurries here. Only managed maybe .5" last night. Hopefully we get an inch or so Tuesday... We ended up with around 2.5. COCORAHS map showing snowfall, the 2.4 is about 2-3 miles east from me. Wish there were people reporting from east of Boalsburg, would love to know what they got:

Wish there were people reporting from east of Boalsburg, would love to know what they got: I drove from home to Bellefonte this afternoon. Potters Mills looked to have had 2-3", up on the Seven Mountains, 3-4". Centre Hall had about 1.5" I'd say. Maybe 0.5" here in Bellefonte.

Santa Clause
Yeah, but light snow into 37* 2m temps is not even a storm really. I think we'll get at least a strong advisory snow before the month is over.
sauss06
Tuesday looks like rain for the Harrisburg area. looks to be in the 40's. Edit- i may be wrong now that i look again. could be a rain/snow mix. mid 30's?
PottercountyWXobserver
This bout sums it up for the next two weeks. Funny how south of the mason dixon line may see a 6"+ storm before northern PA and NY . GLC or southern slider. PA is a big fat median.

Funny how south of the mason dixon line may see a 6"+ storm before northern PA and NY . GLC or southern slider. PA is a big fat median. This is awesome!!! I think my biggest snowfall of the year was a snow squall!! Winter 11-12 has been a trickster. The other depressing thing is, these have fallen apart 72+ hours from go time, not even time to track them..which is half the fun.
NortheastPAWx
Five years ago today started the storm that began Winter 06-07's turnaround... Not so lucky this time around.
