I used to post a fair amount a couple of years ago. No more. There are so many unreadable posts these days. The whining is over the top...isn't there a banter thread for all of that? If this is still the best subforum, it's only a shell of what it once was.

At any rate, it was a beautiful winter day. Looking forward to what the next week or so has in store for us.

hey man, i see you lurking every once and awhile, i wondered how you were? your boys start indoor prac yet?

i see Jamie posted above and agree with him, please post more often..

Sat-Sun looks to be 1.5-2" At KMDT.

I'm thinking this may pan out to be like Wednesday for those in H-burg and us west of there.

Hey Jon! Yeah, we started up indoors back in early January. My son is playing on two teams this year, lots of fun, lots of traveling, lots of money. We're itching to get outside soon, we'll see what happens.

You did a good bit better than I did on Wednesday, I finished with just over an inch. I'm not looking for too much this weekend, maybe something in a week or so?

I know we have a little event this weekend, but I wish I could show you guys the Euro ensembles for next weekend. WOW. If only...

Do tell. BTW looks like the models give us around 2.5 this weekend in two servings.

How old is he? Take it this is baseball? Man, I see kids do stuff indoors in the winter now. Never did that when I was a kid.

Tony we have to get lucky with one of this storms. Be interesting to see where it's at midweek.

Thanks for giving us a heads up!

My daughters travel team ended 1st week of Nov and started back up 1st week in january. Our HS team, i have been having open gyms/clinics since november..

I wish your son well. What an experience for him. and its about so much more then baseball, the life lessons he will learn.

Jamie, it is nothing like when we were kids. the way they practice and play etc. When we were kids, we played everything we could, now many kids quit playing multi sport and focus on one sport. Like my daughter, quit field hockey and Basketball to focus on her academics and softball. her decision and she is only 10th grade.

He's 12, and yes, it's baseball. Things have changed? I'll say...as a 12 year old I played about a dozen games a year. Last year my son played 75...there is good, and definitely some bad, in that.

Back on topic, really getting intrigued by next weekend. Should be an interesting week ahead.

I remember in 11-13 ball in the Susquehanna League (for kids, not the adult league, I played in that for a few years) we played 25 games and were done by like late June. I played in a morning league in the city of York and played about an additional 12. 75 games is crazy.

Travel teams and tournament ball.

anyone else see that it looks like the temps want to go up a couple degrees? i thought yesterday they were around 32ish to start and dropping, now it looks like 34-35 at the on set?

edit- on the nam

I saw that too, NAM MOS had forecasted highs near 40 for MDT I believe on Tuesday before the event Wednesday and near 50 last weekend when we only hit 41. The NAM could very well be too high with temperatures for tomorrow...

speaking of MOS... has anyone seen this worksheet yet? (http://www.txtornado.net/Worksheet.html) pretty sweet and easy way to pull data

I can access accuwx pro and know what is on there is not the ensemble mean, was wondering if you had different access to ensemble mean or was referring to what is available on accuwx pro

unfortunately they haven't been the best this year either as far as long range storminess. Lots of time to watch this potential.

Models are insistent on 2-4" for UNV, coming in two separate shots. NAM definitely not backing off.

Should be a nice little event for C PA, especially if we do get some snow squalls Saturday. Temps look to be less of an issue too, especially overnight (obviously). Should be able to stick to the roads and paved surfaces, and hopefully good rates saturday afternoon should combat warmer temps and insolation.

It'll likely look pretty wintry here for a while after the event, too, with temps not getting out of the 30s next week. We still have an inch or so hanging on in shaded spots here, so we should have a nice mini-snowpack for a while.

I do wonder if advisories will be posted anywhere. Maybe the Laurels, since they'll get plenty of precip tonight with decent temps as opposed to the warmer capital region.
