We seem to have right around 2" or a bit above. Rates were never great but it added up over the course of the day.

Yea we would've probably had more of a widespread 3-5 inch snowfall if this storm had come thru at night and/or if temps would've been colder. The snow itself certainly wasn't the issue as it was quite fluffy. I ended up with slightly under 2".

Yep. If we get this wave going strong Friday night we could get some true advisory fluff into Saturday morning. The GFS and NAM are getting close.

You were never expected to get much up there. Be lucky you got .75"

Well we received .75 here so not so pleased. Also..looks like my idea about rates and trouble sticking yest ended up being right.

"Looks like Wmsptwx has thrown the red flag to challenge the ruling on the board that he proved he was actually right for once....let's look at the tape"

I'm thinking a dusting here....JST will have the max of 2.4"..thats my guess.

"Well, Al, I think he got more than a dusting, he got .8. That's more than a dusting, clearly. Not Snowmaggedon, but still off."

"Cris, do we count easternwx's report of over 3 inches as officially the highest? "

"Al, he's so big of a weenie he's like a dachshund on steroids, but Cashtown in Adams County did get a report of 3.2. Still though, that dusting...c'mon."

It could be one of those deals where it snows all day and doesn't add up to much. Precip rates and thicker cloud cover will definately aid Southern PA. Central and Northern will have to deal with extremely light rates.

You guys realize that the unthawed ground will eat half of that up before it accumulates. So we're looking at an inch southern tier...maybe half inch in State College???

"Looking at qpf numbers for UNV, they got .23 qpf and about two inches of snow. That's a good call about thicker cloud cover but he said the ground would eat up half of it. That's what he said, Cris, so he's wrong here."

"Yeah, Al."

I get half of a flake.

"Well, Al, this is inconclusive because 'half of a flake' might have been a reference to some of the posters in the NYC subforum."

"Okay, now here comes the referee stormtracker with the official call"

"Upon further review, nothing wmsptwx said leading up to what was an okay event in this lame-ass winter was correct. Therefore the call on the board stands - he's a weenie dumbass and should be thankful we like him so he doesn't get a five-post penalty."
