Colonel Badger
Wow sne is crushed. Awesome. Now can we just get the Euro to trend more in this direction at 00z.

ORH_wxman
GFS has a different evolution. Weaker southern shortwave and more phasing with pv. This is more like the euro expect the gfs does it quicker. Yeah its definitely closer to the Euro solution than before which makes me feel a tad better but it still has some major differences...mostly with the northern stream. But I'm glad its showing this solution while phasing the northern stream in and not doing that clown sh** it did at 12z with almost all southern stream. Ginx snewx
It's massive CIPS analog site at hr 120 has as it's top 15 analogs some of the biggies like PD 1 which is top analog but also some of the heartbreakers which skipped OTS but the majority are huge hits. That southern stream shortwave amplifying and doing all work was bogus.

weatherwiz
Nice to see the GFS still wants to close off this thing right around the benchmark,if this continues to show on Friday I will be quite excited. Has the euro done anything like this with regards to closing off the system in the same general area?
snowNH
What an awesome storm that would be! Very long duration. 1 thing going with us, I thing going against us... 1. MarkO
I put last weeks storm chances at about 30% this far out. If I were to throw a number at this one, I'd definitely say it's higher, but probably not quite 50%... yet
dendrite
I do not like the trends... PV phase looking more and more likely, still think I'm likely to switch to rain As Will said...still some big difference with the nrn stream on this run, but it's coming more in line. I'm not concerned at all yet considering how far SE the Euro was.
CoastalWx
It's not all that different from 12z. It keys in on the s/w coming from the Rockies.
earthlight
The GFS is def. stubborn with this idea..and it was certainly encouraging to see the NAM/DGEX come around as well. The drama continues.

weatherwiz
Entertainment purposes of this run are phenomenal. LOL Yeah...always great to see the 18z run totally pound us. Hell, even I looked a little bit at it and I never do this far out. I guess it's encouraging though the GFS keeps onto the similar idea it's been having the past few runs. Zeus
For the sanity of everyone in this thread right now, the next two Euro runs have to look good. I love the "verge of collapse" ambiance that's pervaded the New England club on this board since the middle of last winter. It's... it's delicious. And really, it'd have to hold serve on a favorable solution right to warning verification for the collective to stay back from the edge... I'll put down some newspaper and/or tarp for the splashback of the early jumpers.
earthlight
It's still that shortwave that comes into the plains that does it (amplifying the southern stream)...it's here again on the 18z run.
