Zeus
GOM will become involved with this system which will add to moisture available to the snow potential amounts. You are my new favorite. Please, continue posting anything that comes to mind.

Damage In Tolland
Euro should be somewhat closer in or at least farther west with qpf today
snowNH
Do we take into consideration that the gfs trended west last storm?
ORH_wxman
dude, really? at least let everyone have 5 minutes of euphoria Lol...look how obviously different it is in the upper levels compared to the ECMWF and most other guidance for that matter. I'd like for this solution to verify too, but I doubt it goes down like that. We can obviously still get a major snowstorm, but it would probably evolve differently. weathafella
GFS has had a long duration signal when it showed a hit. No HP to the north. How's this all snow?
MaineJayhawk
Euro should be somewhat closer in or at least farther west with qpf today That is what I'm hoping to see. This GFS depiction is nice, but without the Doctor giving his blessings I'm wary.
CoastalWx
It also has weird qpf donut holes from panel to panel. It must be doing funky things with all the lift.

There's already huge differences by 00z Thu between the 00z euro and 12z GFS with the handling of that energy over Alberta
CoastalWx
What did the Euro show, anyhow? Some very light snow and flurries for you and I. I guess it depends on that s/w coming through the Rockies. I suppose it's not impossible for something like that, but I wish the euro would latch onto that idea. The gfs has been flagging that s/w in question, but it's been touch and go.
