Ginx snewx
Well, that would help slow down the ultimate 'wash-away' factor later on. Cold hanging in there this morning a bit--31.1/25 GFS actually has you thumping pretty good for 6 hours, interesting.
CoastalWx
Is this what the 12Z RPM is keying off? I noticed it's accumulation amounts had increased for the 12z. Yeah I think it's part of it. I definitely would keep an eye out on the radar because this could expand ne quickly, while the mid level cold is around, especially up your way. That skinny plume of moisture over nrn Indiana and ectrl Illinois could park itself over srn NH. I still think the RPM is a little too bullish but we'll see. Damage In Tolland
Nice Apparently this house is on a lake and it's pretty sweet. I've never been but I've heard good things. Wasn't planning on heading up until tomorrow but may take a weenie trip up tonight for ice!! How much nudity will there be in the house?
Damage In Tolland
The new 12Z GFS is interesting in that it brings accumulating snow in an initial thump as far south as Kev and actually hits GC MPMS area with 2-3 according to weenie snow maps, not believing it but that is what they show. LOL..more Amerigarbage. It'll start as a mix of pingers/flakes for me and within 30 minutes be over to zr and within an hour be all rain at 32.

Allenson
Washington is usually an awesome spot for synoptic snow in NH. Not sure if they get in on the upslope much but there are a few places that are +/- 2K ft. so I would imagine they do a bit. I bet they will get >.25 accretion maybe .4 or .5 even if the cold air hangs longer. The center of town basically consists of a county store with one gas pump and I think they may even have a church. Always close to the jackpot I've noticed, I have taken a few weenie rides up there this snow season and every time I went they had close to double the snow that I had. Nice area --Washington, Lempter, Marlow. A lesser-known part of NH. And, definitely a wintery zone along through there. I've done some nice paddling, hiking & skiing in Pillsbury State Park. wxmanmitch
Cleared out here for the time being. Just some high clouds as the low clouds have cleared away. This could warm the BL a bit around here.

I've done some nice paddling, hiking & skiing in Pillsbury State Park. That's the state park I was thinking of before. Antrim is another really nice area to add to your list. Most of the time people go north on 93 up toward the Whites but there are loads of nice places up 89 just not as tourist friendly like North Conway, and Lincoln. In any event they seem like a good place to be tonight, Ryan will have a good time if he does go up tonight. I know I would.

moneypitmike
GFS actually has you thumping pretty good for 6 hours, interesting. That would be a nice surprise. A little different than the NAM, eh? Its actually already clouding over here again...wonder if we can start snowing at some point in the afternoon. There's a fair amount of blue directly over head and to my north. South is pretty much overcast. Since the sun is south, it's essentially cloudy. CoastalWx
Scott, will, forecast for here? or, or nowcast time? I want ice.. I think you could see an inch or two of snow, then some ice before a cold rain later tonight or early tomorrow morning. That moisture plume should be watched because if it comes in quickly enough..could see an additional inch or a little more. It may not be a robust burst of moisture, but something regardless. I wonder if the leading edge is just some light stuff, but maybe picks up near 00z with a bigger burst of WAA. I just looked at the HRRR and it seems awfully slow as well. Yeah it probably mostly light...I don't envision something crazy happening like having 3" of snow by 8pm...but we could pick up a half inch or an inch late this afternoon if it works out, then maybe another quick inch when it picks up around 00z right before the flip if we are lucky. Clinch Leatherwood
For most of us, there is no nonsense..lol. Is the excitement over the snow that's going to change to rain or has somethign changed and now it's mainly a snow deal in the west and north? I see the GFS running a storm over Albany and across CNH with high thicknesses to Canada. Front end thump or did something else change?

It's just that some of the snow and mixed precip may start a bit earlier..maybe mid aftn for some. For you and I, it's down the drain.

Good skiing weekend if they do not get 1/2 ice which looks possible. Different world up there.
