weathafella
I wonder if they'll break the all time record for seasonal snow. I think there's a solid 2 months left. Wow in those stats Steve!

DavisStraight
Yep...it's remarkable. It's never a question of whether there will be a lot snow on the ground this time of year...it's just how deep will it be! Also, see this from Anchorage: PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ANCHORAGE AK 500 AM AKST SAT MAR 3 2012 ..THIS WINTER IS NOW THE 3RD SNOWIEST ON RECORD FOR ANCHORAGE AS OF 3 AM SATURDAY MORNING THE SEASONAL SNOWFALL IN ANCHORAGE REACHED 121.8 INCHES. beavis1729
Spring is finally arriving in Valdez...temps well into the 40s the past few days. Today's normal high is 42. Snow depth is decreasing quickly...down to 72". After a ton of snow in Dec-.Feb., March and April have had relatively little snow. The seasonal snowfall stands at 432.5". That's probably good for a Top 5 season, but nowhere near the ~550" in 1990-91.
