Mikehobbyst
We are officially at 30 degrees angle at solar noon. It is going to get noticable very soon. See daily sun angle for NYC in the link below. Once above 35 degrees angle, snow will be able to melt much quicker on southern exposured areas on sunny days. Noon lighting and shadows will look early spring like in about 3 weeks. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=

Stormlover74
I just want to be able to wake up at 630 and have it not be pitch black. I think I have about 3 more weeks until that happens.

roardog
The sun angle right now is the same as mid November. I don't think many people would consider the sun angle high in mid November.
earthlight
Does this mean I can talk about how the sun angle is getting lower on July 23rd? Made this point last summer. We are still a month away from it getting really noticeable. Just like in August when you can start to notice it getting dark earlier.

CIK62
Can it be hot with a September sun angle? In Sept. the sun follows the same path in sky that it seemed to follow in the period April 10 to March 11 here. The temperatures would depend on the weather pattern. Early April and most of Sept. can get to 90 with the right setup. This year, Sept. is a virtual lock for above normal temps. with the first week near 90 being indicated and above normal heights remain all month, maybe just wetter toward last 10-15 days of month.
