weatherpsycho
Too bad most of it turned out to be rain. Could have been a decent storm but the 850MB level took too long to cool. Oh well at least everything is white again with an 1-1.5" of snow. Likely to melt this afternoon.
weatherpsycho
This storm represents everything wrong with this winter. Bingo!
Trent
This was the epitome of a "stat padder" storm. A pointless, worthless half inch to inch of slop that will be gone in a few hours.
michsnowfreak
Very slushy April-like snowfall of 0.7" this morning. Ratio about 5-1. Brushing off the car was actually hard because the snow was so wet it kept caking to the brush. Total precip for Jan 26/27 was 0.43", of which approx 0.15" was in the form of snow. Wow did the American models, which had zero precip forecast til one day out, suck on this one.
michsnowfreak
How did I get snow? lol I gave up on this thing. per reports, your area got the most (2-2.5"). Not a flake 9or drop) was supposed to make it up there lol.
snowstormcanuck
Sleet/snow mixture in the last 10 minutes has turned over to all snow. Big wet dendrites.
AppsRunner
lol a ton of schools in the area have delayed today, for approximately a half inch or less of snow, and I guess freezing rain?
michsnowfreak
lol a ton of schools in the area have delayed today, for approximately a half inch or less of snow, and I guess freezing rain? Roads here were slushy but come on lol. Schools are getting worse every year. A coworker of mine who has family in the U.P. said the kids have had several snow days the past few weeks for a few 6-7" snowfalls. My how things have changed the last few decades! snowstormcanuck
Without a doubt the heaviest snow of the season occurring right now. 2"/hr type stuff.
Trent
Look how big this thread was for a half inch to an inch of slop! Last year this might have got a post or two in the obs thread.
OHweather
This is not January...I'm thouroughly convinced that it's not. Usually in January, a low tracking through eastern/central OH does not produce flooding rains in northern OH with a thin stripe of 1-2" of slop on the northwestern fringes of that. A quick 0.7" of slop at my house SE of Cleveland...on the bright side, it stuck to everything and will be scenic for the next couple hours until temps warm a few degrees and the snow melts. snowstormcanuck
My eyeballing usually leaves a lot to be desired but I'd say between 1 and 1.5 inches of snow down.

snowstormcanuck
Not fair you can't do better then me. Amazing what some fat fluffy flakes can do for a man's mood. At least for a few fleeting hours, I can set my hatred for this winter aside.
