Chicago WX
LAF keeps finding itself in interesting weather despite a garbage pattern LAF winter. Seriously though, very strange how we've lucked out in this otherwise crappy winter to date.
blue60007
Per Facebook, apparently busses were having difficulties climbing the hill into campus. Not sure if that is still the case, loads look just wet now but probably earlier during the snow burst.

Chicago WX
Just north of Lebanon That's what it looked like here, for ground conditions. Though it's turning to a slushier concoction on the pavement with the light freezing rain. Of course if the time stamp is right, it looks like snow is still falling as of 4:26. Interesting. wxman_ind
Snow/Sleet/Rain here. The rain could be freezing on some surfaces, such as my grill outside.

Nic
Snow showing up here on radar. Over here in Findlay, it is mainly aloft. It would be funny if this were to bust and we get heavy wet snow all night with snow accumulation occuring with temps above freezing. Anways how is it snowing in indiana now? It tooks way to warm to me.
Chicago WX
LAF up to 33 at 5PM. Of course you never know with that thermometer. But it doesn't seem like there is any ice accrual.

My car read 33 all the way home. Roads aren't bad - just wet and slushy. Once again, West Laf has more snow than here on the east side. Probably close to an inch on campus (before the ip/zr of course..).

At 1:29 they updated aviation and still expected Ft Wayne to stay dry,now they're issued a WWA.

Payback again for late November. Strange how this "mini-gradient" has set up shop at times here this winter. Neat stuff.

AppsRunner
Should be interesting to see what happens here. On the northern gradient, but HRRR is significantly further north compared to the RUC. Either way, looks like it won't matter after about noon as it changes back to all rain.

Chicago WX
I blame the river. Or something like that. It's very localized here evidently. Good ole Chad measured 0.3" at WLFI.
IWXwx
The precipitation began as sleet here around 3:20 PM. Since then it has transitioned to snow, mixed with snow, changed to zr, etc. In fact, I've lost track of the changes. We're undre a pretty good band right now. I'll call it a "wintery mix". Chicago WX
It isn't pretty out there...yuck. Main roads I took were a bit slushy...though not bad. Marsh's parking lot is a mess. What I thought was interesting is my car read 32 when I got home and the cars that I parked next to in the lot were frozen over. This type of weather sucks...sorry Hoosier. IWXwx
I was reading through the thread and noticed you guys talking about the models not showing anything this early into IN with this storm and certainly not this far north. It kind of reminds me of last year when I could sneeze and cause it to snow.
AppsRunner
I'm not sure what is falling right now... driveway is partially white, it's not snow, and it sounds like a sleet/snow mix. Don't even know what to call it.
Nic
Nothing falling air is still too dry I was just outside, temp cooled down from 33 to 31. Snow is indicated on NBC4 radar close by. Maybe a brief period of snow at the start based on what happened in Indiana.

Live doppler 13000 which is usually excellent is showing Snow here, when in reality it's ZR/PL... and subfreezing temperatures only go up to about 900mb with 850s +1 to 4C... good luck with that snow though.
