Hoosier
Looks like we're getting some assistance with wetbulbing right now but the warm layer aloft tries to assert itself later toward more of a sleet/liquid look so the question at that point is surface temps. Hoosier
Ha, it must be me not looking at things in detail the past couple of days...but I don't remember the NAM or GFS (runs prior to today) showing anything for today here. Though again, I admit to not really watching this closely. I don't remember anything for the daytime either. Some of them were trying to keep the entire thing south. Chicago WX
This is nice. Majority rimed flakes here right now at work...coming down decently. I see CMI started as -SN, but is now mixing...but visibilities under 2 miles.

Nic
looks like it may start out as freezing rain before we transfer over to regular rain.

*IndyMeso*
Yup came to Lafayette for the week for training and snowing pretty good. Really caught me off guard. Can see a little mixing in there right now.
Hoosier
That's what I thought...thanks. Checking the 00z runs, the Euro/Ukmet had some light qpf for this time and the NAM was close. GFS/GGEM were dry. I only started paying attention a day ago so I'm not sure about before.

Chicago WX
ILX has also added a WWA to parts of their CWA. CMI reporting -ZR at 2PM. Sleet starting to mix back in here now. Fun while it lasted. I did measure 0.5" though before sleet compaction takes over.

Hopefully it'll stay at sleet until I get home, freezing rain at 5pm makes rush hour pretty crappy.

Hoosier
Congrats. Hopefully we crack freezing by 6PM. Temps would appear to remain pretty steady through tomorrow morning but obviously a degree or two either way matters. We may bobble back and forth with ptype for a while but if it ends up being all freezing rain then we could be in line for a tenth or two of accretion.
