Baroclinic Zone
Geezus what a porn run long term GFS, feet of snow followed by - digits. The GFS has been atrocious in the long term.
Logan11
I think it's very possible it turns in Feb/March ..think snow! I just get P.O.'d to see another week wasted .... maybe I'm fatalistic and I hate to waste these good mid winter days because it's another January of our lives we can never get back. Some people don't see it but a major Feb/March couplet is setting up.
ctsnowstorm628
Rainer At 12z tomorrow, the Euro has some light over running snow away from the coast. Probably short lived but definitely possible. With the amount of WAA with this system and the initial sub freezing airmass in interior SNE, I can see a brief period of snow. Baroclinic Zone
I just posted to what it printed out, Euro and GFS GGEM Ens agree. And 12hours from now it will be completely different. Just let me know when we have a storm threat in the 3-4 day range. Anything beyond that this season is a crap shoot.

Logan11
I sure hope so.... I don't even care so much about getting KU storms. Please just some consistent snow events and not a gully washing thaw every week. Positive PNA , cold in the East, major storm period
Logan11
We have to hope the eastern trough axis is right for us. When the AK vortex took a hiatus in December we could never get the trough axis right for a good storm track. We need the ridge far enough west this time to allow an active eastern seaboard track. Positive PNA , cold in the East, major storm period
snowNH
I sure hope so.... I don't even care so much about getting KU storms. Please just some consistent snow events and not a gully washing thaw every week. I don't care about moderate snow events... We haven't had consistent cold to hold snow packs, so what's the freaking point? Give me a KU and no more snow.. give me an 1888 or some $hit like that. One freaking KU and then just end winter Fine by me organizing low... just end it now
