nwohweather
Yeah it definitely looks like it is cycling right now. I'm worried since it has enough distance that it'll be completed through the cycle by the time it gets around B-Ham city proper
OceanStWx
Circulation immediately SW of Short Creak (marked by red dot) you can see the large area of inflow (pinkish orange) Notice how small that area becomes just 5 minutes later as RFD interface begins to cut off the inflow (large pink area south of Short Creek) Full occlusion as the RFD has completely cut off inflow to the now remnant circulation
jrips27
My sister is south of the city. Looks like this one will go north again like 4/27. Maybe a bit SE of the old one?
andyhb
My fear is that it may have cycled too early.
OceanStWx
New meso is trying to get better organized just east of Mulga, still rather broad though.
nwohweather
My fear is that it may have cycled too early. My thoughts exactly. This thing will probably tighten up within 20 minutes however the decrease in lightning is a good sign

OceanStWx
Inflow beginning to strengthen west of KBMX now too. That tail end of the line segment is starting to take on more supercellular characteristics.

Yeah that is that cell that produced damage back near Livingston, looks to probably pass South of the radar site.
OceanStWx
Fultondale and Tarrant may be in the path of something new shortly. Couplet has intensified right as evidence of another anitcyclonic flare takes shape (another RFD surge just north of Fultondale it looks like). Stebo
About 110 kts gate to gate. Yeah just crossed State Highway 75 there, looks to pass North of Trussville, it will be close to Argo.
OceanStWx
debris ball ? My gut call would be yes, but it's tough to tell considering it's not the best dBZ signature (relative to the rest of the storm). This would be a situation where dual-pol would be really handy. Correlation coefficient would be a dead giveaway here given how close it is to KBMX.

CandymanColumbusGA
Uh oh.... KBMX is down up... These storms are ridiculous for mid-January. Hopefully everyone was aware of the severe weather possible tonight. Hopefully the wedge holds long enough for Georgia to keep this from being a bigger event.
