Baroclinic Zone
It does look nice with about 5.5" or so OTG. Actually looks like winter. I probably have around 7" after all the compaction.
Damage In Tolland
It does look nice with about 5.5" or so OTG. Actually looks like winter. In a blink ..it will be all gone..even parking lot piles
CoastalWx
In a blink ..it will be all gone..even parking lot piles  For me, probably...considering Tuesday as well. It will be tough for the interior spots like ORH county and points n&w..spots that already have concrete OTG.

ORH_wxman
ORH lost almost all their snow during the torch the other night..so there's not much concrete there No, there was still a solid 2-2.5" of concrete here. Some of lower spots had bare spots in the sun bathed areas, but we overall def still had a concrete base.

ORH_wxman
Will you lose it all by Tuesday? No, but if I lose it all, it will be during the day on Tuesday that finishes it off with the slow FROPA.
powderfreak
Around 1.5" from this storm both at my location in the village and up at the base of the mountain. Snow depth is 12.5" in the village and 16" up here at the base of the ski resort. Looks like mid-winter, and -14F this morning in the village. CoastalWx
ORH lost almost all their snow during the torch the other night..so there's not much concrete there I know you wish that, but they are just a more wintry spot, than Tolland.
Logan11
I don't think it'll be too bad here. Cold will be back in by early Tuesday and low/mid 30's that day. But the later week Euro rainstorm would finish me off.... No, but if I lose it all, it will be during the day on Tuesday that finishes it off with the slow FROPA. ski MRG
I know you wish that, but they are just a more wintry spot, than Tolland. I love when he gets on these "everybody is going to lose their snow" jags. He knows that his few inches of fluff is going to evaporate and wants everyone else to suffer the same fate. I really get a laugh whe he theorizes that GC will lose all it's snow. Never happens.lol
ORH_wxman
Funny to see Boston's snowfall record for yesterday as 2011...that was a nice little event last year on the 21st. E MA special with the fluff bomb intensifying as it exits stage right.

Damage In Tolland
?? What did I even say? That I wish ORH would lose their snow or had lost it. Weatherma posted the other day that most of ORH under 700 feet had lost it
CoastalWx
As far as me saying that the far interior should hold onto their snow....that's very possible. Like Will said..it could come during the Tuesday mild spell before it turns colder. How is that far fetched?
Logan11
Yeah ...worried when the Euro does that with the late week low, but still hopeful for February on the whole.... Thanks Rick! CoastalWx
That I wish ORH would lose their snow or had lost it. Weatherma posted the other day that most of ORH under 700 feet had lost it Well I know you secretly hate that. The thing is, he remained like 31-32 the other day when lower elevations were in the mid 30s. I think you were like 40 for a while. That made the difference. Besides in this winter, just be happy you are getting snow. Snow pack has been more of a luxury for many.
ski MRG
What did you get yesterday Pete? I had a big 1.5", but it looks very pretty and sub zero again today.....4th day in a week. A measely 2.75" but it snowed all day though in the afternoon it was just a light mood snow. -5 overnight. I was awoken by a pack of snowmachines tearing down the main road at 4am. Winter time fun here 24/7. I don't want or wish that at all. I don't know WTF you or Scooter are talking about. I am very worried about many of us losing all our snowpack. I do this every year when we face these brutal soueaster cutters LOL. C'mon, you love saying "brown grass for everyone even MRG and MPM" I have a beautiful layer cake snowpack and the bottom half is permabase. It's not going anywhere anytime soon. The anemic torch we're getting will just settle things. ?? What did I even say? Very passive aggressive. BTW, I'm rooting for the Pats tonight because I detest the Ravens gang of criminals. Mr Torchey
I would imagine 90% of sne snowpack will be gone by Friday if the Euro is correct.
Damage In Tolland
Why are people saying we've reverted back to the December/early Jan pattern? I don't get it. We have a -NAO upcoming..and it doesn't look at all like that hideous setup was. Not ideal, but far better than that misery

We should just be happy we have had some decent winter wx for once. I mean given what we just went through...it feels good to get some snow. Many people might lose their snow, but that's just how it is. Hopefully we'll get more in the next 5-10 days.

We have a -NAO upcoming..and it doesn't look at all like that hideous setup was. Not ideal, but far better than that misery We definitely have not reverted back. I think part of the problem, is that the -NAO looks weak and people are worred about the AK vortex. It does look to return, but perhaps retrograde enough to pump up a ridge out west. The pattern still has lots of questions, and it wouldn't shock me, for it to become less favorable once again...but it doesn't look nearly as bad as what we endured. I can't help but remember all the posts about how the Pats game would be played in temps near 60 and there was no hope of ever seeing Winter this year. That was just a week ago. During the 7 day period immediately following all the doom and gloomers prognostications we've had 3 seperate snow events and many mornings well below zero. I put little stock in the "the sky is falling" forecasts. It's the dead of Winter in New England. We may have a brief mild spell but if I were betting money it would be on cold and snow to dominate overall. At least here.
