I think that might be a camera problem. Notice the low contrast of the image? There's a couple cameras around here that are always like that no matter the weather or lack thereof.

Roads completely covered up here, my latitude ftw with the superband, 8" of fluff, 6.25 for Norwalk, what did you get down in the oven of NEw England, heading down later to see the inlaws.

perhaps there are contrast issues, but you can see complete snow cover in the outside Northbound lane too, right next to a lane with clear tire tracks

here's another with better contrast:

do you clear after 6 hours when u measure? only asking today bc

if it gets a wee bit "less fluffy" in nature on 2'nd half....clearing will give a better picture of snow accums than usual

I just took the official out back on the porch. The fireplace platform which is about 3' x 3'. There's about 6" and that's the first measurement on that board. It's totally clear of any non-falling snow influence. It's elevated so there is no drifting at all. That's where I do the "official" measurements when I can't get out there.

I'll clear after six hours but it didn't really start here until 9ish, so will go from that time frame.

I can't multi-quote for some reason, but yeah this has been fun. I have high hopes on the OES later. That could really put this into the double digits as I only expect another 1-2" synoptically.

I'm looking at the live cameras on 95 (can see them here at the station) and most of 95 is snow covered.

Yeah thats insane. PYM has some weird climo, when they get hit from snow and even tstorms, it seems like they get decimated. Can't explain it

Last few winters hasn't mattered, but when the cold air dominates there can be massive differences between north and south plymouth. The heaviest stuff just never could get north today as cold air fed down.

Someone else can discuss later but to me the Euro probably wasn't as good as the last NAM. NAM did a better job picking up on the real tight banding, Euro kind of missed that and had a more diffuse area.

RUC continues to hammer the area for another 2 or so hours as we get the last pulse moving in from RI. If that happens...it's really been one of the best performances I ever remember from the RUC.
