Yeah I don't think anyone saw that coming to the degree it did.

BTW has anyone heard from Forky? He saidn this was a deamplifying wave and wouldn't drop any more than 1-3

I thought 6" was a reasonable high end amount for many of us yesterday. I didn't expect to see the frontogenesis produce a band like that and have it stay in place for hours and hours.

I didn't think there would be any kind of banding like that given how things looked, however, if one were to setup I would not have expected it to be as far north as it did...both the NAM/GFS had the best/strongest VV's south of CT and I think though the NAM did have some of these better vV's barely grazing southern CT/RI and then grazing the Cape during the afternoon.
