Did you notice the snow taking on a pellet like nature? I think that warm air aloft is doing its dirty work.

When I woke up around 4am, it was snowing quite heavily with fine, small flakes. Not the case anymore.

Still a nice front end dump thus far.

Yep...the snow is a good bit less flaky than a couple of hours ago...wouldn't be surprised if the next round is more sleet for us than snow.

Yeah, the intense batch of precip. in south-central PA looks promising, but my fear is that it brings sleet. We shall see. I only measured about 2/10 additional in the past hour due to the nature of the snowflakes.

We have snow in Metuchen!! Woohoo!! Coming down lightly, but we now have a very light coating (maybe 1/32" lol). Ran outside in shorts a t-shirt and barefeet - it's cold.

Woke up about 30 minutes ago and went for a nice walk around the neighborhood. It's truly beautiful out there. Snowing moderately at 24F with 2" of new snow on the ground - basically 2" in 3 hours, which isn't bad. Would love to get 3-4" more over the next 6 hours or so, before it possibly changes to sleet (Mt. Holly predicts a change to sleet here in the late morning).
