buckeye
gotta love this comment - DT calling JB delusional many of you may have been getting JB ( not Justin berk the other guy) twitter posts where he is touting a severe cold air outbreak like 1985. That sort of forecast is delusional. 21 minutes ago · 2 I'm not sure delusional is the correct word, but DT and JB have become a joke. Neither of them are forecasting, they are just playing meteorological wack-a-mole....and playing it terribly. When one does happen to hit one they start crowing about how only they had the skillz to do it. I just read thru DT's FB page and I have whip lash following his FEB thoughts. Starts out basically saying winter is over, then a week later comes close to an apology for speaking too soon and failing to see the pattern change that could bring winter back for FEB. Then today goes back to what looks like a winter's over post.

His Fab Feb is a big FAIL

DT is simply swaying with the Euro--not sure of JB's methodology, but it's the same thing, winter's coming, then a post saying he busted and then the next day saying that he's figured out what's wrong and winter's back...meanwhile, we're at 2/6/12, it's 55 degrees out and no snow in sight as the models simply push it all out ala 01-02. pazzo83
It's not going to last. ( Thank God ) You mean the two days of avg temps this weekend and one possible day of aob temps followed by torch again? FWIW Saturday will probably be the first day since Jan 22 that the temp fails to reach 40F.

NEG NAO
he's humping the JMA-always a bad sign. real bad idea - plus the precip that falls is going to have a tough time accumulating because of not cold enough surface and the snow will be real wet with low ratios
Stormlover74
Just like that clipper 2 years ago that every model showed dying out over the mountains yet he insisted we'd see 3-6". I think I saw a coating at most. I expect a similar outcome this go around too. JB regarding the Wednesday event

Yup-he called for 3-6 earlier this week and his new map shows 1 for everyone except up to 3 in South central PA...NYC is on the northern edge of the 1 inch line. What a joke. No mention of the weekend storm anymore either.

I would think the more you are correct in your predictions the more people will actually pay up and or extend their subscriptions... Besides he gives out most of his thinking on his tweets/facebook page anyway...lol...which seems like something he couldnt do so much at Accuweather. Yes he uses the extremes, but that's his style from the get go.
