HRRR is showing that feature lasting for hours, even after the main precip is done. Could be a big deal for stretch from Milwaukee to Chicago.

Yeah I'm just west of that meso low right now! Flakes are getting bigger here. If it drifts due west about 5 miles it'll be right over my house! Try to get some pictures if it make it here.

Yeah it's gonna be bad. I brought up 2/6/07 earlier which this reminds me of in terms of temps/rates (although that one was even colder) and it was a total disaster around here so I can't imagine what it will be like in the congested metro.

People see 4-7" and probably think 'oh that's not too bad' but not all 4-7's are equal.

Sounds like you know a thing or two about 4-7"ers

steady light to sometimes mod snow.

DTX: Going with 1 to 3" north of Detroit/I-96. 2 to 4" south. WWA only for Monroe and Lenawae CTY.

Looks to take time for the moisture to saturate the Atmosphere.

Only thing helping us north of Detroit is the Fact Ratios will be fairly High. Up words of 16 to 1

Gee, that's almost the same argument as ground temps. Sometimes i question why DTX is so anti-headlines. The radar trends look nice, i dont get it.
