Sock Puppet
JB is on now on the radio show posted about in this forum. He's actually called for a mix below I-80 Not sure if anyone saw what it was, but JB may have had an epic forecast for this storm because DT just opened fire on his snow forecast on facebook. SnowGoose69
DT is going with an inch for NYC lol Thats surprising that he'd be that heavily against the guidance at this range.
TheTrials
24 hours on Euro 850 line looks like hi-res models in south jersey. Surface freezing line running just south of NYC across western LI About .25 has fallen.
TheTrials
30 Hours 850 line south of nyc, south of long island, colder than gfs 32 line at surface north of the city across south coast of ct looks like another .25 falls I think it has upped the qpf
TheTrials
Yeah, euro just bumped the QPF, looks like the NMM GREAT RUN! Congrats weenies!!! :drunk: :drunk: :drunk:
supermeh
Euro looks like the GFS but a hair colder.
TheTrials
Def. an increase on the euro from 00Z for precip and not nearly as warm at 850 as nam and gfs.

FPizz
I'm guessing here in the New Brunswick area I should be similar to NYC? It seems like this area is always near the dividing line.
NEXtreme
Not sure if anyone saw what it was, but JB may have had an epic forecast for this storm because DT just opened fire on his snow forecast on facebook. It's so childish . The mans got issues.
jm1220
Sounds good to me!! Hopefully models like the NAM and GFS are just overdone on the warm advection. None of the other models really went any warmer.
Stormlover74
Also Steve D seems to be calling for more mixing than other forecasts. He makes it sound like anyone along the coast is going to see their 1-2" washed away with only well north and west getting over 4". And thats the last I will speak about JB, DT or SD :-) Thats surprising that he'd be that heavily against the guidance at this range.
TheTrials
Even for 5boros and li? well man, the areas on the water like metfan are gonna be facing a battle with the ocean teams so thats always a concern, but for mid level temps, but the 850 line is def. south of those areas. MJO812
It's so childish . The mans got issues. Steve D, Craig Allen, and Bill Evans are calling for 1-3 inches. DT now changed it to 2-4 lol

ag3
They should go with warnings for the City. No. The chance of 6"+ is very low.
TheTrials
They should go with warnings for the City. No, they shouldnt. Lower ratios and if the warm push is being undestimated, they will change over. I expect their watches to go to warnings however since the euro is def. wetter and the 6 inches could verify. MJO812
No. The chance of 6"+ is very low. I thought 3-6 inches is considered a warning. I remember a lot of times I had winter storm warnings with those amounts.

TheTrials
Anyone have final tallies for QPF amounts from the Euro? i would say .35 to about .50 west to east across the area more east as the low bombs out a little. Look at the NMM, probably looks like that if everything was added up.
jm1220
They should go with warnings for the City. 3-6" is a high end advisory event. That's about what the City should expect-3" on Coney Island, 6" in the Bronx. Real warning level accums probably won't happen unless you're up in N NJ, Orange County/Putnam/northern Westchester.
