Rankin5150
All: I am in need of a link to a case study for the winter of 1957-1958. I remember this being posted some time ago, but I forgot who and where to find it. I am looking for something that focuses on the Southeast (prefer NC, if possible). Hoping that this information catalogs what type of overall pattern (la nina or el nino?), overall temperatures and of course recorded data of snowfall, ip, zr, etc. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out! You all rock here in the SE forum. Would not rather be in any other forum but here!
LithiaWx
It was a moderate to strong El Nino, NDJ : +1.5 DJF : +1.7 JFM : +1.5 I think the NAO was predominantly negative but it moved up and down so that's not a concrete number I can give you. Rankin5150
To all...PLEASE accept my apologies...I had the WRONG winter pegged in trying to draw similarities to this winter. I will post a new thread regarding the winter of 1959-1960. Sorry folks!
