CapitalKid
Further info from Brian Goode, WAVE3, Louisville.... a SVR watch to be issued to the east of the current TOR watch toward Louisville and perhaps the entire WAVE viewing area, which I would think would take it to Frankfort at least... Hoosier
Just saw my first flashes of lightning... Line not looking too good as it's getting ready to come through. Somewhat better severe threat looks to stay roughly south of I-70. Not like that's any big surprise.
Geos
Some moderate rain and fog here, but haven't noticed any thunder or lightning flashes.

Not like that's any big surprise. Yeah, severe up this way was a gamble. Just didn't warm up enough to mitigate the low level inversion.

CapitalKid
FYI, WAVE in Louisville is saying there is some rotation around Owensboro, KY... I'm not seeing it on radar, but I'm passing it along for the more experienced watchers.
snowlord81
A bit disappointed, but not unexpected. Farther south down around Indy, and even closer to us, looks interesting though. Up to 53 here. Almost all the snow is gone! Crazy that I was out shoveling yesterday AM. The segment of the line coming up I-70 looks excellent on radar and is on course to hit my area IF it holds together. Will be grabbing a cold one and stepping outside soon! cmichweather
Ya mixing those impressive 850's is gonna be tough when you have that sort of inversion. I can see some areas doing well if a decent RIJ develops and can carry a bit of dry air in to help mix and give a bit of negative buoyancy. Other than that you just won't see the impressive mid level winds mixed down.

Way ahead of you on the cold ones. But yeah, interesting weather lately. Decent downpours here with the fractured line moving through. Winds are run of the mill. One flash of lightning...no thunder. Meh.
blue60007
I'm guessing some 30-35 mph gusts Herr. Not bad for January, I guess. Good downpour. Fun watching sheets of rain blowing over snow piles.

I mean it looks ok but new scan just came in certainly looks more like a convergence signal from the outflow surging out on the southern side.
