Baroclinic Zone
First flakes here with that pinwheeling band that rotated in from the south coast. Nice chilly 26F but I expext that to creep up a bit.
ORH_wxman
Really? Yeah that seems really high this early on, lol. Maybe they were looking at the centimeters side.
CoastalWx
Looks like heavier band is leaving Kevin's area shortly. More light to moderate stuff behind.
ctsnowstorm628
I had no loans to cover my second semester and I was in the process of working on that but everytime I filled out the paper work the school told me to do and thought I was done they gave me more to do...and then more...before I knew it was 2 weeks into the second semester and I was taking 18 credits...I was so far behind so I just decided to leave. I wanted to go back but I owed the school about $1200 from my semester and I owed VSAC about $2000. I did screw myself over between coming back from that semester and until last year when I hardly made payments...but as of now I only owe LSC $78 (which I'm sending them tomorrow) to get my transcript so I can transfer to Western Connecticut State (will be much cheaper for me) and I only owe VSAC now about $700. If I can transfer back to LSC for my final 2 years of school I will DEFINITELY do it. Yeah no kidding. Its tough, but if you have the passion, you love it. I wouldn't trade the opportunities I'm getting from this education for the world. PS- saw your tweet about KGON and Old Saybrook. I live in Westbrook, the town over and my Davis is reporting 32F still at 192ft, 3 miles inland. My girlfriend is still home from college and her car thermometer in downtown Old Saybrook read 36F and it was a crappy mangle-flaked nightmare. Crazy inflow off the sound. DavisStraight
That band intensifying over E CT definitely looks like some convective elements in there. I think its starting to move over me now, snows coming down harder, my dog was out for 5 minutes and she came back in with a solid cover of snow on her back. Wiz, do it anyway you can do it, the same thing happened to me after 1 year at U lowell and looking back there was ways I could have pulled it off. Im happy doing what Im doing but if I had it to do over again I would have found a way to stay for the full 4 years. Roads are pretty slippery tonight. N. OF PIKE
? I am sitting at our studios on Main Street with 1.25" and moderate snow. and just east of you has been getting bombed by that band....some def. has 2 inches (with any elevation just a bit to your east) IMO i guess when ginx reports 1-2 inches in the 1hr period between 915 and 1015 we shouldn't be shocked either
ineedsnow
yeah i can see someone easily having over 2 inches in that already shouldn't be hard to belive that norwich, ct is around 2 inches ...esp the w side of town near 350 feet that band over E CT is two inches an hour ez IMO. high ratio high qpf bandwhere temps are in mid 20's just east of willimantic area
ChrisM
? I am sitting at our studios on Main Street with 1.25" and moderate snow. The radar filled in, before there was a huge hole over Willi. Even still echoes are way heavier surrounding IJD. It is a notorious snow hole..but I wouldn't want to live there for other reasons lol.

adamrivers
and just east of you has been getting bombed by that band....some def. has 2 inches (with any elevation just a bit to your east) IMO Been a good half hour since I went out. Will go out again and measure before I leave at 10. Chaplin and Hampton usually seem to do good with the updraft in these types of events
