CoastalWx
WABC from NY tweeted a picture from Suffolk county with maybe 1/3-1/2" accumulation already. Check out the weenie meso low.

Damage In Tolland
You'll be asleep when the heavier stuff comes in, as usual. Admitedly i was asleep the other night when it snowed heavily..but for the big events I'm up..I just don't jump online so I can go back to sleep. Once I'm online I will be too wired and wide awake to fall back to sleep. You can text me if it looks like it's something to be awake for
Mr Torchey
Tiny weenie flakes but lots of them falling from the heavens, a stout band about 15 minutes away that should be fun, love this kind of stuff.

I could see some haves and have nots.
Ginx snewx
Check out the weenie meso low. Yea those ultra cool small mesolows are neat. One of the reasons I love winter weather.
CT Rain
Check out the weenie meso low. We may get a good burst within the hour or two with increasing synoptic scale lift and developing seeder-feeder mechanism.

I'm "cautiously" optimistic I don't think it has any more to do with upslope, other than being in the right place at the right time. And it may not be you..could be just east or something..but that general area may be a decent spot. Maybe another area in ern spots..perhaps se mass. Don't think there's an upslope factor in this situation... we're going to have to see where best mesoscale banding sets up as lift increased through the column. Maybe lollis to 3 but I'm not sure if the bands remain relatively disjointed.

Either way it's going to be fun to watch it evolve, that inflow off the Atlantic over LI is really really cool. It looks like it's getting a little stronger also. powderfreak
LOL but we do not have Lake Erie! LOL Ginx...you're something else man that comment was regarding that band out near BUF. Of course the ocean is nearby but there's a reason why the Great Lakes see heavier bands of snow than SNE most of the time.
