Baroclinic Zone
That mesolow really enhanced the snow. It did it over se mass, and even more so where you were. It had been a while since I had seen 1/4m vis and +sn from TAN. Went like that for almost an hour. Short but sweet event.

I never usuaully jackpot anyways....lol, Some places east of me should do as well or better, But i always seem to end up getting decent snows, These types of events rock over this area like 07-
red
Looking like an under performer around here as we are stuck in the snow hole now with just some very light snow. The first band came through this morning and put down about an inch in 40 minutes and it looks like just one more band is going to rotate through. We might squeeze out 2". tamarack
Thanks scott, Just got done the yard and took a core sample, Great ratio .50" liquid, 8" snowfall 16:1 ratio Slightly less qpf IMBY, but even better ratio, 1st real overperformer here this season. Measured 7.0" and 0.39" LE, for 18:1. First flakes about 9 last night, but as accum lagged 4 hr or so, I wonder if some vestiges of OES snuck out to the foothills. Some obs... 2:45 AM: -SN and about 0.5" 5:00 AM: Just puking snow, prob 3"/hr stuff with the side searchlight glinting off the dendrites. 5:45 AM: Still +SN but much less intense than 45 min earlier, 6.5" on the steps. 6" in 3 hr - niiice! 6:45 AM: Snow ended. Just over 6" here in AUG, looked like Belgrade Village might have 8".
MJHUB
roads were poorly plowed in Seekonk, must have caught them off guard, even main roads were snowcovered, sippery commute to say the least.
HoarfrostHubb
My driveway was a disastah this morning. It is somewhat flat but there is enough of a slope that my car (and my wife's) had major issues in it. Totally covered by 2" of packed down ice, then the fluff on top made it so slick. I forgot to get my sand from the highway department so I wound up spreading cat litter (new, not the used stuff they use in GC). Roads were not great and now coming off of cars made it hard to see. Ginx snewx
In case people missed it, BOX description of the rotation / mesoscale low on radar centered over southeast Mass last night: This was quite an interesting event as a triple low developed over the area in response to strong frontal convergence. This low level circulation was captured by our radar around 05z-06z from Narragansett Bay to Buzzards Bay and into Cape Cod Bay. In fact as the circulation tracked across Massachusetts Bay pvc reported a southeast wind g44 knots at 0555z! Quite the inflow! This triple point/mesoscale low developed about 150 miles farther south than model guidance projected. Thus more snowfall than previous forecast. I had so much fun tracking that last night, it started in NW NJ dropped south then shot NE. I posted about it as I was watching it. one of the coolest meso's in years. You can see how it rippled along. Too bad we did not have vis sat at the time would have been awesome. Almost a polar low type.

There was almost an eye in the center of it in terms of a dead spot on the radar dead in the middle of the Bay.

Clinch Leatherwood
Folks got about 4" down in Marshfield too. Just missed the heavier band by about 10 miles. We got goalposted...if that meso had moved 10-15 miles south I'd have been golden too.
